Wellness in Adversity: Resilience and Empowerment Training

Resilience and Empowerment training is a 3-week course (9.5 hours) delivered through a series of live webinars, self-care group coaching calls, and guided mindfulness practices designed to aid attendees in developing a sustainable self-care routine, cultivate a sense of presence in the face of unpredictability, and open up to their own potential.

Objectives:

Support self-care practice of participants

Teach key mind-body medicine principles for wellness

Provide a supportive atmosphere to highlight each person’s wellness journey

Offer self-care practices that cultivate resilience during uncertain times


One (1) 90 minute webinar on core integrative mental health principles and frameworks in the context of community crisis and trauma

Wellness in Adversity: Cultivating Inner Resilience Series

Our cultivating inner resilience is an online webinar series that offers a myriad of self-care practices for participants to add to their self-care toolkit. Offerings will include sessions on mindfulness based practices such as gratitude and self-compassion along with yin yoga and irest meditation.

Trauma Disrupts—Relationships Heal: COVID-19, Trauma, and Learning Relationships


Trauma disrupts and has profound impact on the interdependent needs of individuals as it relates to safety, human connections, and emotional experiences.  While living with the threat of COVID-19 individuals and communities have been exposed to adverse events and significant disruptions impacting their psychological, psychical, physiological, and social wellness. For many these disruptions come with significant stress and trauma. Given the primacy of the teacher-student relationship and the understanding that relationships are the foundation to healing in adverse times. This workshop aims to equip educators with the knowledge and understanding of the effects of trauma and how they can support their community from a trauma-informed perspective.

Giving Voice to our Experience: Narrative Practices as Self-Care


Creativity and the sharing of ideas, stories, and our general sense of feeling connected can be disrupted during times of uncertainty. The ability to tell our story and give voice to our experiences is a powerful tool for cultivating a sense of empowerment. This training will focus on the power of storytelling as a form of self-care. Narrative practices are composed of reflective and reflective exercises ranging from written word, movement, art, music, and more. As people make space for listening to their own stories they open the doorway for authenticity, inclusivity, reciprocity, empowerment, trust, challenge, community, and responsibility within other relationships.
